Kerri Shak is a Canadian composer, collaborator, multi-instrumentalist, and performer. Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Composition from the California Institute of the Arts, Kerri works on integrated media collaborations with animators, dancers, videographers, and actors. Her compositions have been showcased in festivals such as the Long Beach International Film Festival in New York and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland.

Using her travels to gain musical inspiration, Kerri is an active member of several Los Angeles-based world music ensembles, including Gamelan Burat Wangi and West African group Volta Drum Dance. She is a co-founder and active member of the contemporary Chinese ensemble, GuHuRuan and has performed in venues around the world, including Singapore, Indonesia, Canada, and the USA.

Her mentors include composer Michael Jon Fink, Karen Tanaka, Guzheng player Cynthia Hsiang, Erhu player Yunhe Liang, Persian masters Pirayeh Pourafar and Houman Pourmehdi, and Indonesian Gamelan masters Pak Djoko Walujo and Pak Nyoman Wenten.
